I have a love-hate relationship with social media at the best of times but sometimes the world of Facebook can bring you together with some seriously awesome people. This was most certainly the case with these two lovers. Renee had posted in an FB group searching for a photographer for her upcoming elopement. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE elopements! I got in touch with her and said that I would love to be involved and capture her and Ashleigh's big day. Once we got talking, she filled me in on their plans and I couldn't hide my excitement.

On one of their very first dates Ashleigh took Renee to Erskin Falls on the beautiful Great Ocean Road. They took the stairs down to the waterfall and explored the lush rainforest following the path that runs along the creek. They both fell in love with this magical place and when it came to picking the spot to exchange their vowels they knew that this was it.

The ceremony was a total tear jerker (yes I had a little cry behind the camera)! It was so beautiful and heartfelt and done by one of my favorite celebrants, Jo Betz. I had the great privilege of signing their certificate and be one of the first people to congratulate them. Once all the formalities were done we went on a photo adventure climbing rocks, trying not to fall in the creek, standing in front of waterfalls and braving the arctic winds on the beach.

They finished their day with a romantic dinner for two at Shelly Beach which was Pinterest perfect thanks to the uber-talented Laura from 'Wanderlust Creative'. Enjoying your first dance to the sound of crashing waves from the southern ocean and a picture perfect sunset is (in my humble opinion) elopement goals.
